Service A and Service B: What’s the Difference?
Most modern Mercedes-Benz vehicles use a flexible maintenance system that alternates between two visits. Timing depends on your model, year and driving, so the most reliable guide is the service reminder in your instrument cluster.
Service A — the lighter visit
- Synthetic oil and filter change
- Fluid level checks and top-ups
- Tire inflation check
- Brake component inspection
- Maintenance reminder reset
Service B — the more complete visit
- Everything in Service A
- Cabin air filter replacement
- Brake fluid exchange
- Additional model-specific items when due
- Maintenance reminder reset
We follow the maintenance items Mercedes-Benz specifies for your vehicle and use oil that meets the required Mercedes-Benz approval. Read more about factory-scheduled maintenance.
Common Mercedes-Benz Problems We Diagnose
Air suspension (Airmatic)
A corner sitting low after parking, a suspension warning, or a compressor that runs constantly.
Oil leaks
Seeping valve cover gaskets or oil cooler and filter housing seals, often noticed as a burning-oil smell.
Transmission behaviour
Harsh or delayed shifts, or the car going into limp mode.
Warning lights
Check-engine, ESP or ABS lights that need proper testing, not just a code reset.
Suspension noise
Clunks or knocks over bumps from worn control arm bushings or ball joints.
Electrical faults
Battery drain, intermittent warnings and module communication errors.
Every repair starts with a diagnosis, so you pay to fix the actual cause rather than guess at parts.

Will servicing my Mercedes outside the dealer affect my warranty?
Choosing an independent shop does not by itself void a factory warranty. What matters is that maintenance follows the manufacturer’s schedule and specifications and that you keep your service records. We document every visit on your invoice.
Warranty and recall repairs themselves are handled by a Mercedes-Benz dealer; if your car is still under warranty, check your warranty booklet or ask us before booking.

Mercedes-Benz Repair FAQ
Do you work on all Mercedes-Benz models?
We service most Mercedes-Benz cars and SUVs, including the C-Class, E-Class, GLC, GLE and other popular models. Call us with your model and year and we’ll confirm.
Can you do Service A and Service B?
Yes. We perform the maintenance items specified for your vehicle and reset the service reminder.
Is an independent shop cheaper than the dealer?
Often, yes, but it depends on the job. We always provide an estimate before work begins so you can compare.
My Mercedes has a warning light on. Is it safe to drive?
A flashing check-engine light, a red warning, overheating or a brake warning means you should stop driving and call us. For a steady amber light, book a diagnosis soon. Learn more about the check-engine light.
